DEPUTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT MINISTER INSPECTS ROADS/DAMS AND NURSERY PROJECTS IN NANUNG SOUTH DISTRICT



As part of measures to ensure quality work and value for money on the massive developmental projects that are currently ongoing in the Nanumba South District, the Hon Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development yesterday sent a team on his behalf to inspect the progress and the quality of work on all awarded contracts under the funding of Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (GPSNP) in the Nanumba District.

Communities/projects visited were;
1. Wumbejaya,
Construction of Wuliya/ Wumbejaya road to link these two communities to the Wulensi main road.

2. Nakpayili,
Rehabilitation of Nakpayili Dam

3. Wulensi,
Rehabilitation of Wulensi Dam

4. Tampoaya,
Cashew Nursery Site.
A little over 48,600 cashew seedlings have so been nursed awaiting distribution to farmers.

Upon satisfactory work by the team on the visited areas/projects,  other projects were scheduled for visit in their next tour.
