For years this has hindered the lives of the farmers in that area leading to all night travels to Accra to sell yams exposing their lives in danger.
The Regent, elders and members of Nakpayili were very glad to how the commencement of the Yam Market has gone so far. Indeed it was a successful beginning and more encouraging.
About 75,000+ tubers of yams we're said to have been sold out for the first day of commencement 25th August, 2021.
More sellers and buyers are expected to reach out to the new market next week (Tuesday)
