Addressing the media on Friday, September 17, 2021, the Director of Communication at the NPP, Yaw Buaben Asamoa charged all stakeholders to welcome the yet to be announced list of MMDCE nominees.
“We expect all stakeholders, especially party executives at the grassroots level, to accept the list that will be released in good fate.”
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on all stakeholders to accept in good fate, persons who will be nominated as Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has presented his list of nominees to the Local Government Ministry for publication.
The government has been criticised for the lack of progress in appointing new MMDCEs nine months into a new administration. However, the Presidency has refuted assertions that development at the local level has been stalled due to the delay in appointing MMDCEs.
