Bemoaning the unprovoked attack on Fusheini Osman, a gentleman who got shot by an allerged joint security task force, the reagent of Nanung, HRH Nyelinboligu Naa Andani Yakubu in a brief address to the people of Nanung, on Tuesday, November 24 regarded the excesses of the operation as an "irresponsibility on the part of the security operatives".
The acting president recognizing the exclusive roles assigned to State actors in discharge of their responsibilities to the state and it's populace equally called for inclusive of the traditional authority in times of security operations. Involving the traditional authority in relatively fragile areas of operations, where there's even ongoing rumours of a possible inter ethnic conflicts amounts "to involving the community" in exercising their state sponsored duties without putting the people at risk.
The acting president did not hide his dissatisfaction over the "pain caused our brother, son and husband" adding that such unfortunate appreciation of traditional conceptualisation of security, without recourse to the human security paradigm "must serve as a new age of responsibility to the security operatives in the kingdom".
