Wulensi is set to benefit from a major infrastructural boost as the District Chief Executive for Nanumba South, Hon. Musah Abdul Rashid, has announced plans to construct an ultramodern Community Center by 2026. This project is expected to transform community engagement and provide a centralized space for meetings, events, and development activities.
According to the DCE, the new facility will feature a fully equipped conference hall specifically designed to support Persons With Disability. This includes disability-friendly entrances, ramps, accessible seating areas, and washrooms that meet modern accessibility standards. The goal is to ensure that every member of the community, including individuals with disabilities, can comfortably participate in social, governmental, and developmental programs.
The Community Center is also expected to serve as a hub for youth empowerment programs, capacity-building workshops, NGO activities, and cultural events. By providing a modern and inclusive facility, the Assembly aims to strengthen collaboration and enhance the overall development agenda of Wulensi and its surrounding communities.
Residents have welcomed the news with excitement, noting that the project represents a significant step toward promoting inclusiveness and improving social infrastructure in the district. If completed as planned, the ultramodern Community Center will stand as a symbol of progress, accessibility, and community growth for the people of Wulensi.
