Following the recent announcement of the Nakpayili Delegation’s planned courtesy call on the Nanumba South District Chief Executive (DCE), the Nanumba Youth Association (NAYA) has stepped in to reinforce the advocacy for the operationalization of the Nakpayili Community Day Senior High School (SHS).
In a significant move, NAYA held a strategic meeting with the Regent and elders of Nakpayili, emphasizing the importance of uniting traditional authorities, youth groups, and the wider community towards a common goal, the official commissioning and use of the completed but yet-to-be-operational Day SHS.
The association acknowledged the critical role traditional leaders play in local development and expressed their commitment to working collaboratively with Nakpayili’s leadership to push the agenda forward. According to NAYA executives, the school remains a vital asset that must not be left to deteriorate, especially at a time when access to quality education is a growing concern in the district.
NAYA has also expressed its intention to engage directly with the DCE to discuss the status of the school and chart a practical roadmap for its immediate use, ahead of the next academic year.
This growing coalition between community stakeholders and organized youth platforms like NAYA is a strong signal of unity and shared vision. It reflects the increasing awareness and readiness among Nanumba citizens to demand accountability and actively contribute to the development of the area.
All eyes are now on the DCE and relevant government authorities to respond proactively to the collective voice of Nakpayili and its allies.
