The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, in partnership with the Nanumba South District Assembly, is inviting applications for the Local Tertiary Scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic year.
This is a great opportunity for eligible students from the Nanumba South District who are currently studying in accredited tertiary institutions across Ghana.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
• Be a Ghanaian citizen with a valid Ghana Card
• Have gained admission to a recognized public tertiary institution in Ghana
• Not be a beneficiary of any other government scholarship
• Demonstrate financial need and academic merit
• Meet any additional requirements as stated on the application portal
How to Apply
1. Visit the official website: www.apply.scholarships.gov.gh
2. Click on “Local Tertiary Scholarship” and select “Apply Now”.
3. Create an account using a valid email address and phone number.
4. Verify your account via the link sent to your email or SMS.
5. Log in, choose “Local Tertiary” as your scholarship type, and fill in:
• Personal details
• Academic history
• Admission details
• Financial background
6. Upload Required Documents:
• Admission letter
• Academic transcripts or WASSCE certificate
• Ghana Card (National ID)
• Passport photo
• Proof of need (Social Welfare report, NHIS card, utility bills, etc.)
• Any other requested documents
Next Steps
After submission, your application will be reviewed by the District Scholarship Review Committee (DSRC).
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a face-to-face interview at the District Assembly.
Bring original copies of all uploaded documents to the interview.
Successful applicants will be notified via SMS, email, or online dashboard.
