The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nanumba South, who also serves as the Central Government Representative, Honourable Abdul Rashid Musah, this afternoon hosted officials of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) from the Bimbilla and Kpandai branch offices.
The visit was to officially inform the DCE about the agreement between NEDCo and the District Assembly regarding the establishment of a new NEDCo District Office in Wulensi. The initiative is aimed at improving electricity distribution and making services more accessible to the people of Nanumba South
Earlier, Honourable Abdul Rashid Musah had written a formal letter of request to the Regional Operations Manager of NEDCo in Tamale, seeking the establishment of the office in Wulensi to serve the people of Nanumba South more effectively.
In response, Mr. Selorm, the Bimbilla Branch Operations Manager, together with his colleague from the Kpandai branch, paid a courtesy call on the DCE. Mr. Selorm announced that he will assume the role of Acting District Operations Manager for the newly created Nanumba South District Office of NEDCo.
This development marks an important milestone in strengthening electricity distribution in Nanumba South. The new office in Wulensi is expected to improve service delivery, reduce delays in addressing customer concerns, and bring NEDCo operations closer to the people of the district.
