The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nanumba South, Hon. Musah Abdul Rashid, honoured an invitation to the Austrian National Day Celebration held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. The event, hosted by the Austrian Ambassador to Ghana, H. E. Jurgen Heissel, took place at the Ambassador’s residence in Accra.
During the celebration, the DCE engaged the Ambassador and other dignitaries on potential areas of economic collaboration and investment in the Nanumba South District. Discussions focused on key sectors such as agriculture, education, and infrastructure development.
The Nanumba South District, endowed with fertile lands and natural resources, presents vast opportunities for agricultural expansion, agribusiness, and value addition. Hon. Musah Abdul Rashid underscored the district’s readiness to welcome both local and foreign investors, assuring that his administration is committed to creating a conducive environment for business and sustainable development.
In response, Ambassador Heissel reaffirmed Austria’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s development agenda. He emphasized the need for mutually beneficial partnerships, particularly at the local level, and highlighted the importance of people-to-people relations and cultural exchange between Austria and Ghana.
The meeting between the DCE and the Austrian Ambassador signifies a promising step toward stronger bilateral relations and underscores the potential for economic cooperation between the two nations.
