Modern CHPS Compound to be Constructed at Zonyani - Nanumba South DCE Announces

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nanumba South, Hon. Musah Abdul-Rashid, has announced that a modern Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound will soon be constructed at Zonyani to enhance healthcare delivery in the district.

According to the DCE, the project will be implemented with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Ghana, as part of ongoing efforts to improve access to quality primary healthcare, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

Hon. Musah Abdul-Rashid explained that the new CHPS compound will provide essential services including outpatient care, maternal and child health services, immunization, and preventive healthcare. The facility is expected to significantly reduce the burden on residents who currently travel long distances to access medical care.

He expressed appreciation to the Government and people of Japan for their continued partnership and support toward development initiatives in Nanumba South, noting that such collaborations play a critical role in improving the lives of the people.

The DCE reaffirmed the commitment of the Nanumba South District Assembly to prioritizing healthcare and other social interventions that directly impact communities, emphasizing that the wellbeing of residents remains central to the district’s development agenda.
