On Tuesday, January 6, the newly appointed Headmaster of Nakpayili Senior High/Technical School (Official Name) Alhaji Mohammed was formally introduced to the good people of Nakpayili marked by unity, hope, and renewed commitment to education.
The delegation was led by the Hon. District Chief Executive (DCE), Abdul Rashid Musah, and included the Assistant Coordinating Director, our own son Mr. Alidu, the Headmaster of Kpandai Senior High School, Assembly Members, traditional authorities, opinion leaders, and other key stakeholders.
After his official introduction, the Headmaster expressed profound gratitude for the warm reception and assured the community of his readiness to work diligently to make Nakpayili Senior High/Technical School an outstanding and competitive institution.
He emphasized discipline, academic
excellence, and stakeholder collaboration as key pillars of his administration. He further described himself as a “homeboy,” noting that Nakpayili feels like home to him, especially with Mr. Alidu, his trusted right-hand man, being a proud native of the area.
In his remarks, Mr. Alidu called for collective responsibility, stressing that the success of the school cannot be achieved by the Headmaster alone. He appealed to traditional leaders, parents, teachers, youth, and the entire community to support school management through cooperation, protection of school property, and active participation in school activities.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon. DCE, Abdul Rashid Musah, announced that six major infrastructure projects have been awarded to Nakpayili Senior High/Technical School, with construction expected to begin soon. The projects include:
1. A Multi-Purpose Assembly Hall Complex
2. An Administration Block with a Library
3. A Dining Hall with Kitchen
4. A Girls’ Dormitory
5. A Boys’ Dormitory
6. Teachers’ Quarters
He emphasized that, with the exception of the kitchen and dining hall, all the facilities will be multi-storey structures, underscoring government’s strong commitment to improving educational infrastructure and learning conditions in the school.
The Hon. DCE further called on the community to continue supporting government interventions, noting that education remains a top priority for the district. He assured the people of Nakpayili that government is determined to transform the school into a modern, well-resourced, and reputable institution capable of producing disciplined and responsible future leaders.
The Regent and elders of Nakpayili expressed their appreciation to the government and the delegation for the efforts being made to develop the school. They pledged their total support and cooperation, assuring the Headmaster and district authorities of a peaceful and enabling environment to successfully carry out their responsibilities.
The ceremony ended on a hopeful note, symbolizing a new chapter of partnership between school authorities, government, and the community toward building a strong educational foundation for Nakpayili and generations yet unborn.
