Bangdiyili–Chichagi Bridge to Be Prioritized — John Dramani Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has announced that the Bangdiyili–Chichagi bridge will be prioritized as part of efforts to improve road connectivity in the Northern Region.

The announcement was made in Bimbilla during the sod-cutting ceremony for the 24-Hour Economy Market, as part of his ongoing Resetting Ghana Tour.

The President noted that the construction of the bridge will significantly improve movement between Zabzugu and Bimbilla, making travel shorter, faster, and more convenient for residents and road users.

The project is expected to ease transportation challenges in the area, particularly for farmers, traders, and commuters who depend on the route for their daily activities. It will also enhance access to markets, reduce travel time, and support local economic growth.

According to the President, infrastructure development remains a key priority under his administration, especially in areas where poor road access continues to limit opportunities.

Residents and stakeholders have welcomed the announcement, describing the bridge as a much-needed intervention that will improve connectivity and open up the area for development.

The Bangdiyili–Chichagi bridge, once completed, is expected to play a vital role in strengthening transportation links and improving livelihoods across the Zabzugu–Bimbilla corridor.
