Nanumba South: Relief for Nakpayili as DCE Secures Additional Electricity Transformer

Residents of Nakpayili have welcomed a major improvement in the community’s power infrastructure following the successful installation of an additional electricity transformer secured through the support of the District Chief Executive.

The intervention comes after years of appeals over persistent electricity challenges caused by pressure on the existing transformer, which had become overburdened due to growing demand in the community.

For many households, businesses, schools and public institutions, unstable electricity supply has remained a recurring challenge, often resulting in low voltage, frequent fluctuations and occasional outages that disrupted daily activities and affected productivity.

The new transformer is expected to significantly reduce the load on the old one, improve voltage stability, and strengthen power distribution across Nakpayili. Residents are hopeful this will bring much-needed relief and improve access to reliable electricity for homes, shops and essential services.

This development is not only a response to an immediate infrastructure need, but also a boost for local development. Improved power supply will support small businesses, enhance service delivery, and create better conditions for economic and social progress within the community.

The support of the District Assembly, and the leadership demonstrated by Hon. Abdul Rashid Musah in securing this intervention, have been widely acknowledged as a positive response to a long-standing community concern.

As Nakpayili continues to pursue development through advocacy and collaboration, this milestone stands as another example of progress being achieved through persistence and responsive leadership.
