"Dormitory and Teachers Quarters will follow after School is Opened" - Chief Alhaji Sofo Azorka on Nakpayili SHS

In a close discussion with the contractor, Chief Alhaji Sofo Azorka, he gave a firm assurance that the construction of dormitories and teachers’ quarters will follow as a next phase of the project.

This commitment aligns with the broader vision of the President of the Republic of Ghana to resetting the country while also aligning to the Minister of Education vision to transform selected Community Day Senior High Schools into full-fledged boarding institutions.

According to the contractor, the Nakpayili Community Day SHS has been earmarked as one of the schools to benefit from this upgrade, given its strategic location and the pressing need to accommodate students from distant communities. The addition of dormitories and residential facilities for teaching staff is expected to greatly enhance the functionality and attractiveness of the school, while also supporting academic performance, teacher retention, and safety of students.

This development marks a significant step toward equitable access to quality secondary education in rural Ghana and stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to bridging the urban-rural educational gap.
